There is this one post (who am I kidding, I never wrote more than maybe 4 all last year) Yo Si Puedo (And I Will!) it was my ode to the end of procrastination in my life. My curiosity was sparked….as I read through my list. First there was a feeling of surprise…like hmmm…don’t remember writing that, then there was oh yea…haven’t quite gotten around to that, but….things started to go awry quickly as I skimmed down this memory lane of aspirations for a year gone by… “well damn, have I done any of this??!” And just as my senses were going into full free fall, I hit number 10! Yea!!! I have accomplished something on my list! 10. Get back in school!
That little triumph made me take a closer look at the list….well I did tackle #9, I mean hell it said “lose weight” not “get to goal weight” so hell yea! I lost 10 lbs. in the last year… go girl! And number 8 is really a work in progress. When I wrote this I had no idea that I wanted to be a home owner. The last few months have been spent editing all the footage of “credit cards gone wild”…. The re-edit of that reel of film is looking good, I am happy to say....numbers on the steady.
All in all, I am so thankful to my little sister. I asked her why she needed the address for the site and she noted that a friend of hers was showing her, her own site and because she has none of her own she decided show her mine. A small thing.
There is a story in this month’s Science of Mind Magazine about a woman who brought a pretty red geranium home and sat it in her kitchen window. She soon noticed how shabby the kitchen looked in contrast to the brilliant plant. This led her to redo her entire kitchen and once it was done with sparkling new cabinets, floors and finishes, it drew her eye to the dining room shedding light on the work that needed to be done there. Well of course you know how the story goes, next was the living room and she ended up redoing the entire house, inside and out.
When it was all said and done she looked around admiring the beautiful new home that she created and thought, “You know the one thing that doesn’t work in here is that geranium in the kitchen window!”
We are never privy to the true roles of the people, places and things that come into our lives. Sometimes people, places or even very small things are introduced into our lives to help us see the larger picture to simply push us towards what’s next. So the moral of the story is, never discount the value of who or what comes into your experience.
It is all there as a blessing from the most high sent to you for you as you to do what you came here to do….dig it?
Lifeis: About being aware and thankful for all that God sets forth for us, the entire universe is conspiring to do our bidding. Give thanks for all that comes your way. Make your list and check it off more than twice! You are here to be and to love in whatever way makes you happy…I want to love bilingually (lol) como te amo!
Today I am thankful for the nice African Lady on my sister’s job! Her spirit touched my sister, who then touched me, and caused me to then touch myself and realign my thought process. I needed it…I hope it helps you too!
