This book was so small, I can't even see how you could call it more than a large pamphlet. However, powerful things can come in small packages!
This book was one of the little clues I picked up along the journey, in the very early stages of my conscious spiritual seeking. There were three things in this book that I read, that chilled me to the bone.
"We are not punished for our sins,
we are punished by them"
One day the cloak that you wear will be removed and your spirit will find its replacement.
As souls we incarnate in groups, coming and going, intertwining, playing out different roles and relationships
Well let me say that first one hit me hard.....like Dayum! Of course I began to think of every little indiscretion I had perpetrated in life! I did not sleep well! Thinking lord what is going to happen to me??!! That I caused!
The next sentence changed my life forever, because up and until that very moment I had associated myself fully with the body. It took me maybe three times, reading that over, before the shiver started deep within and spread throughout this (what I now know to be) temporary container.
The final sentence, simply made me smile! It made me think of all of the people that I loved and have loved in my life up and until that time. It gave me an even greater love for the new ones....the little ones...like, who are you? I missed you!! You came back! I cannot wait to see and experience who you are and who you will become this go round!
At times I thought, wow, "Did I parent my parents?" If so, I hope I did as good a job!"
Think about this when you look around at the people who are in your life. Whether you see the relationships as close or distant, short or long, see them as those that you have grouped and regrouped with you time and again, with the express purpose of showing up and giving each other the experiences we need to move forward.
It is quite amazing when you think about it. Here we are traveling together time and again on this wheel of life, until that time that we all merge consciously again as one.
Today I am thankful for my family and friends, so called strangers I've encountered during my day, associates, people I pass on the street. We are truly all in this together! One family, one life, expressing itself in many ways.
lifeis: About loving the ones you're with! Knowing that they are your true traveling partners!
The photo above is of me, my niece Carla, my brother, and off to the side you can see my nephew Stephen's leg! This was their first time snorkeling, I was so excited!!!
